JOSHUA'S BAPTISM

Last Sunday Andrew and i attended Joshua's baptism (Our friends Scott and Julias baby) They are Protestant and this is the church in their village! Which every town in Europe always has a little church somewhere. Okay so Andrew and i had no clue what the preacher was talking about since he was speaking German. We picked up on a few words but other than that just listened to everyone sing in german etc..... It was pretty funny we had to stand up and sit down at least 10 times throughout the hour!Andrew-Scott-Brian Here is Scott's brother Brian with Joshua while he gets baptized, he is one of the godfathers! Scott and Julia-Proud parents of Joshua Joshua and his grandpa! He loves this little boy to death he is very spoiled by everyone in the family, you can't help it he's too CUTE.

Baptism lunch party!

After the baptism we all headed up to the lake in Nandichweiler for a little lunch party, this is where we always go for parties with our favorite German family! Isn't this cake adorable!? This girl in Ramstein makes cakes for all occasions and she does an awesome job! Julia decided to have the food catered this time which i think her mom was glad so she didn't have to cook! It was Delicious! Here is cute little Uta! She such a cute little grandma but she hates getting her picture taken so i'm lucky i got this one ha ha. She is getting all the cakes ready for CAKE TIME! which you basically eat nothing but cake at a certain time after lunch. There was ALOT more cakes than what you see in the pic, they are delicious but you can seriously only have one piece they are so sweet! Here's Andrew lookin a little on the tired side but hey give him some credit, the night before he had to do the 24hour CQ guard duty so in this pic he has now been awake for almost 30 hours. This is Lisa Marie Julias little sis and Felix our friends little boy! He is such a cutie! This is Chenoa one of my german friends girl, i just love her to death she is such a beautiful little girl and so sweet! Joshua and Uma (grandma) She to spoils this baby rotten, but hey he is the only grandchild! We love Uma she always makes you feel welcome and she makes sure Andrew and i make it to the family parties etc..... We consider them family and Andrew and i hope to come back to Germany to visit and keep in touch once we get back to the states! (Hopefully they can make it to the states one day.)

COACH WHITEHEAD

Andrew is the head coach of the 10-12 year old flag football team this year and he's doing AWESOME. (I just have to say he looks good out there coaching i love ya babe!) Alot of the moms have commented to me on how good Andrew is with the kids, and what a great job he's doing! Alot of these kids dads are deployed which is pretty sad. I'm glad they have sports and stuff for these kids. We play the Air Force and Army teams and so far the team is 2-1! Way to go Baumholder! (I'm sure we have a good chance on winning the rest of the games these boys know their plays and they are doing AWESOME.) This was the first game they played in K-town which we won, the team was sooooooo excited to win their first game of the season! It was raining hard during the game but us girls were prepared w/ our umbrellas. The coaches and players were soaked by the time the game ended. This is the game on Sat. at Ramestein Air Force base! We won the Ramstein team something like 20- 13. WAY TO GO DOMINATORS! Andrew and assistant coach Smith take this game very serious, but have fun at the same time. They made each of the kids their own play books with all the different plays. I love going to the games it's fun to see how much these boys improve, They must have studied their play books, they are lookin good out on the field. I will keep you all updated on how the season goes!

Update on Andrew's Leg!

Okay so for those of you that know Andrew has had problems with his leg since Dec. He has been to at least 6 different doctors and yet none of them seem to know exactly what the problem is. Most of the doctors seem to think it's a torn muscle but are not 100% sure. Before they actually knew that might be the problem the PA told him he was ok to continue to run on his leg, doing ruck marches etc... Anyways that caused more problems! One doctor sent him to DC back in May but once again they did nothing except tell him it was a waste to send him to the states and that this could've been takin care of here in Germany! It has been very frustrating because all the doctors just seem to pon him off from doctor after doctor and yet Andrew has been so patient through all of this unlike me. I just can't figure out how these doctors don't know anything! They have had him do physical therapy which hasn't done much his leg still hurts him everyday, he says the pain is so bad it feels like a charlie horse all the time. I hardly ever hear him complain he is just use to the pain. (I guess that's the soldier in him.) Well to make a LONG story short Andrew was finally seen by a really good doctor last week and he seems to know what he's doing, but that's what we thought about all the other doctors. He says this is very rare what is wrong which makes us think it's more than a torn muscle. This doctor said he would research everything over the week and that surgery might be a possibility, we will find out sometime this week i will let you all know what we find out!!!

Kusel Fest 2008

Well it's time again for the Kusel Fest which was last weekend, it's is only about 15 min from Baumholder. We headed to Kusel and met up with our friends Scott and Julia! They left a little earlier so we just walked around more and got a few pictures! It's starting to get alot cooler here, especially at night but once you got walking around it wasn't so bad......... How random is this a stand selling sexy attire at the fest kinda funny! Andrew loves the white brats and the orange Fanta! The fanta here in Germany is so good, it tastes alot different than in the states.Andrew and i tried this chocolate covered banana it was actually pretty good, they have alot of different fruits covered in chocolate like strawberries, grapes, pineapple etc...... Crazy i guess they have these cookies everywhere! We only knew what a couple of them said since they are in German.

Kusel Fest Sept. 07

Here we are at the same fest in Kusel last year, it's crazy we have already been here in Germany for that long, and we now know when most of the local events are. Anyways this ride the TRANSFORMER was crazy i was so sick by the time it was done, for one reason! Well Fair rides are bad enough anyways but in Germany they are 50 times worse they leave you on these rides twice as long as in the states, i didn't think it was ever gonna end. All the guys LOVED it. GO ANDREW! Check out these steins of beer we had to get a pic with some, The germans drink so many they just keep goin back for more.......... This was hilarious a bunch of the scouts decided to go on the bumper cars, They loved it! Stephan he is our German friend we met last year, he lives in the same village as Julia. He is also in the German military! (Man Germans love their BEER.)V and Stephan! We had so much fun there was a big group of us. Oh it was pretty funny v had to use the restroom which you had to pay 50 eruo cents, (crazy) When V realized he was out of Euros, i made sure to give him .50 euro cents so he could make it to the little boys room.

Fun at the Polizei station in K-town

This was kinda random we were driving in Kaiserslautern a few weeks ago and noticed some statues so we thought it would be fun to take some pics, little did we know it was the polizei station. At least we didn't get caught ha ha. OUCH! This was pretty funny there were just random statues of soccer players, if you notice all the uniforms are different colors, which represent a different country's soccer team in Europe. OH BABY I JUST COULDN'T RESIST........
