I love Fall in Germany...........

I LOVE FALL! This time of year is so beautiful, especially when all the leaves start to change colors. Germany has so many trees EVERYWHERE, which is absolutely beautiful wherever you go. I tried to snap a picture the other day on the autobahn but when you can drive as fast as you want, the picture obviously didn't turn out to good. ha ha Notice the European speed limit sign. WOW! It's going to be really weird to drive in the states when i get back, i'm so use to all the european sighns and everything. Although Andrew and I have come to a conclusion that people here in Germany are way better drivers than in the states. But hey it might have something do do with paying 1300Euros just to get a drivers license! It's now starting to get colder here in Baumholder! Last week the sun was out almost everyday, so it was pretty nice. Today it already feels COLDER it's been raining and no sun. Hey at least it still looks beautiful though right!?

Scott Stapp (Creed) Concert

Scott Stapp the singer for Creed came to Baumholder a couple weeks to put on a concert for the troops and their families. I know i've said this before but it's always nice to see the patriotic side of these performers- athletes and other famous people that give up some time for us. He thanked the troops and their families for all their many sacrifices and especially to alot of the wives since many of their husbands are deployed, we appreciate it. I again feel so lucky to have Andrew here in Germany safe. Andrew and i always like to try and make it to all the fun events they have planned for us whether it's here in Baumholder or at the Air Force bases close by we don't mind driving if FuN is involved..........Kaiya, her dad was Andrew's assistant coach in football. She is seriously so adorable i just love her to death, she would always call Andrew "Coach Whitehead" so cute! The guitar player was soooooo AMAZING, i wish i could play the guitar especially that good! Andrew enjoying the concert while eating a Brawt! I'm gonna have to learn to make Brawts the same as the Germans do when we get back to the states!! Andrew LOVES them. (I'm sure they aren't to hard to make. ha ha)Here i am with Lauren one of our friends daughters she is such a sweet girl, she graduates next year and is pretty EXCITED....... They announced at the concert that Scott Stapp had a choice of performing at some of the bigger bases here in Germany such as Ramsten- Kaiserslautern but he chose to come to BaUmHoLdEr! Thanks for making it such a great concert we ran into alot of friends and had TONS!

YuMmY! SpAgHeTtI EiS

OKAY SO IF ANY OF YOU ARE EVER IN GERMANY YOU HAVE TO TRY SPAGETTI EIS IT'S SOOOOO GOOD! It's kinda hard to see the icecream in this pic but it's looks just like spaghetti , the inside is filled with frozen whip cream and topped off with some coconut. Andrew and i made sure my mom and cousin tried the famous SpAgHeTtI EiS when they were here in May!! They make all different flavors, this one is Strawberry! ANYWAYS KEEP SpAgEtTi EiS IN MIND ESPECILLY IF YOU PLAN ON VISITING US HERE IN GeRmAnY! HoMi who is famous for his icecream here on base sells all different kinds in his little icecream truck. It's pretty cute all the kids start yelling at HoMi when they see him and hear the music!

OkToBeRfEsT 2008

Yeah! We finally made it to Oktoberfest, We were gonna go last year but found out it ends Oct. 7th so we missed it, we just assumed it would go the whole month of Oct. This picture is inside one of the famous beer tents, people get here really early and just hang out at their tables drink beer eat pretzels etc.... So if you ever plan to come here make sure you arrive early so you can get a table! Anyways Julias brother in-law was visiting from Conneticut a couple weeks ago and wanted to go to Oktoberfest so we all decided to go well Scott and Andrew couldn't make it, Scott had to work til 5 and Andrew had the 24 hour guard duty. We felt bad but we decided to go anyways we drove to Munchen (Munich) and back in one day it's 4 hours away, kinda crazy but it was worth it! We made it to Munich easy but once we got into the city there were NO sighns of Oktoberfest anywhere, it's a good thing Julia is German so we could get good directions! ha ha Julias brother in-law Brian he wanted to get a beer inside the tent but they weren't serving anyone else so he had to resort to getting one outside the tent. It was insane inside these beer tents so many people and VERY LOUD. It was pretty funny though, the girls that carry all the steins on trays are freakin CRAZY they don't stop for anything she ran right into me and Julia we couldn't move because of all the people! It was pretty dang funny.BEER BEER BEER There was alot of little stands similar to this one that had Beer-Brawts-candy and lots of other stuff. Check out all the STEINS! Here is a couple Germans in their sexy Laterhosen ha ha Lots of the men were dressed like this and the women were in their little German dresses. I guess if we make it here next year Andrew and i will have to dress up. Okay so Julia and i were just taking some pictures of us and these guys decided they wanted to be in the picture to, they were sooooooo WASTED! Ya like our Oktoberfest hats!? We decided they looked like witches hats, you can't tell in this pic but they say oktoberfest 2008! There were tons of rides this rollar coaster represents the olympics when they were in Munchen! (munich) So this guy had one to many beers he was just hangin out by himself totally asleep, we all took pictures of him and he didn't have a clue. We saw this drunk guy fall over in a crowd of people and lots of other funny things. Overall Oktoberfest was a blast it's different than what i thought, it's basically like all the other Fests Andrew and i have been to but this one was twice as big! Hopefully We can go again next year so Andrew and Scott can go!!

Heidelberg Germany

We also decided to check out Heidelberg it's only 45min. away from Baumholder and it's Beautiful i think it's one of the oldest cities in Germany! Our husbands had to work today too, man they missed out on some good places. I will have to make sure to take Andrew here he would LOVE IT. What some sexy glasses i think we're back in the 80's! You can count on finding a Starbucks no matter where you are in the world ha ha....... Cute little Josh he's such a good baby, he didn't cry once alday! I was so surprised. Check out this castle it's HUGE! You can actually hike up to it, we didn't since we had Josh. When i take Andrew here we will be sure to check it out, whenever you get to the top of any of these castles the view is AMAZING! While i was in Heidelberg Andrew also had a busy day working and later that night had Football practice which by the way his team is going to be in the playoffs next week way to go Coach Whitehead ha ha. So we decided to just relax and watch a movie while Andrew gave me one of his famous foot rubs. After walking alday i deserved it right!? Ha ha love ya babe!
