SEATBELTS-SEATBELTS-SEATBELTS.........

OKAY SO ANDREW AND I HAVE BOTH GOTTEN SEATBELT TICKETS HERE ON BASE, ACTUALLY I GOT MINE BACK IN MAY AT RAMSTEIN AIRBASE ONLY I DIDN'T LOSE MY DRIVING PRIVILEGES. YES IT'S PRETTY FUNNY ANDREW GOT A SEATBELT TICKET ABOUT 3WEEKS AGO AND JUST THIS PAST WEEK THE CAPTAIN DECIDED HE COULDN'T DRIVE FOR 7DAYS. I GUESS TO TEACH HIM A LITTLE LESSON TO WEAR HIS SEATBELT. ANYWAYS I HAVE BEEN HIS LITTLE SHOFFER! I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY FUNNY JUST BECAUSE I WARNED HIM AFTER I GOT MY TICKET TO WEAR HIS SEATBELT........ (He can start driving again on Tues. He can't wait!) ANYWAYS I GUESS I JUST GOT LUCKY, WE RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT THE MP'S (Military Police) CAN ACTUALLY TAKE YOUR LICENSE FROM YOU FOR 2WEEKS FOR NO SEATBELT IF THEY WANT! ANYWAYS BOTTOM LINE I THINK WE WILL BOTH BE WEARING OUR SEATBELT EVERY TIME WE GET IN THE CAR! Plus in the economy you can get fined almost 200 Euro by the German Polizei, THAT IS IF THEY CATCH YOU!!!!! HA HA

Wine Vineyards and fun

Andrew and i were on our way to Trier for the Rallye and decided to stop and see some of the Vineyards it's absolutley beautiful everything is so green and the vineyards seem like they go on forever and their is TONS of them. It seems like you see alot of vineyards driving around Europe but we have never stopped to see them so i'm glad we did........... So as we were walking along the path on the bridge Zoey all the sudden stopped and would not walk so i picked her up. She was seriously scared to death, you can't tell in the picture but she had her little claws digging into my neck. I'm thinkin when she looked down she was freaked out by the water. Too funny!!! I PROMISE I'M NOT CHOKING ZOEY- ha haThis is such a beautiful part of Trier, if your ever in Germany this is the place to go we love it and everytime we go there we find something different and fun to see. (plus it's only about 30 min. from Baumholder.)

2008 Rallye in Trier

So Andrew and i finally made it to the Junior World Class Rallye in Trier. The rallye starts in Trier and ends in Trier with three different stages in three days. One of the stages went right through Baumholder but somehow we missed it so we headed to Trier to see all the awesome cars. The German Polizei take this event very serious, they were alover making sure people didn't try to jump over the fence to see the ACTION! Notice the camera guy! Now that is one brave guy, these cars take the corners soooooo FAST and at times slid into the side he didn't want to miss any of the action.

Andrew LOVED the Rallye! They had a little fest later on with all the cars set up so you could see them and the drivers it was pretty fun. These cars are seriously all decked out, most of them have 500 plus HP and are very LOUD and FAST! This is the lot where all the cars would drive into once they had finished the Rallye, it was fun to see all the different cars. (I have to say for my very first Rallye it was very impressive all the cars were so different.)

BAUMHOLDER FESTIVAL!

This past weekend Baumholder had a big fest, all the festivals here in Germany are tons of fun because they go all out with everything. It was nice too we just walked downtown and didn't have to worry about driving or finding a parking spot, just walked out the back gate off post and right into the PARTY! They had a couple different stages with bands playing and they all sang american music at some point, this band was singin Gloria Estefan now that's old music i remember listening to her music a LONG TIME AGO........... ha ha Andrew and i love going to Festivals here in Germany we went earlier in the day, went home for awhile and decided to walk back down since the party was going on alnight. It was funny when we got home we could hear the bands singing. Andrew with some guys he knows we ran into them downtown it was the guys on the rights Birthday! He is a very patriotic man, he just joined the army at age 45 because all he wanted to do is serve his country so welcome to Germany, it looks like he is already having a good time............ Here is a picture of the those famous german Brawts and the guy making them, it was funny all us Americans had to take a picture so i think he is already use to posing for the pic.......

Baumholder Lake

We were at the fest for awhile and decided to walk down to the lake, it was such a nice day, this is part of the path that wraps around the lake! PARTY-PARTY-PARTY Baumholder Lake- It's so beautiful right now and they turn it into a nice swimming area for everyone, although i d0n't know if i would go diving into that water, it's pretty disgusting! ha ha

CRAZY ZOEY

SO I JUST HAVE TO SAY IT'S A GOOD THING ZOEY IS SO DANG CUTE! I HAD JUST REPOTTED ONE OF MY PLANTS YESTERDAY AND NOT TO LONG AFTER I CAUGHT ZOEY PLAYING AROUND WITH IT. SHE HAD BITTEN OFF A PIECE OF THE PLANT AND WAS PLAYING WITH IT, SHE ALSO HAD DIRT ALOVER THE FLOOR I THINK SHE WAS HAVING TO MUCH FUN TIL I CAUGHT HER! (IT WAS PRETTY FUNNY) I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS WITH DOGS AND PLANTS THEY LOVE THEM, OR AT LEAST ZOEY DOES........ HA HA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN

Andrew and i went to our friends daughters birthday yesterday, We had a bbq and the girls went to the pool for awhile it was such a beautiful day! Lauren turned 17 and can i just say i forgot what it was like to be that age, it makes you feel really old ha ha. Anyways we all had a fun time especially the girls they had a huge cake fight which then turned into a water fight CRAZY GIRLS........ Here are a few pics of the party!

YEAH! It finally arrived

So my mom sent me this cute flat iron i finally recieved it, she sent it over three weeks ago and i just got it yesterday, so we thought maybe it got lost or somethin. This is a limited edition army flat iron i thought it was to cute. Thanks mom I LOVE IT! I'm finally glad to have a good flat iron again too....... For those of you that haven't tried the Chi, i recommend it it's the best. I have used this brand of flat iron ever since the sales rep at the salon i worked at sold all us girls one ha ha. Anyways so when Andrew and i were in Paris i totally blew the fuse on my other chi, i plugged it into an adapter it seemed to work fine, but it wasn't until i got home that i it was DONE and i have resorted to a curling iron which isn't to bad. So i'm thinkin i should've of listened to my husband, he told me the adapter i had wouldn't work but i had to try it anyways ha ha Wrong thing to do, I think i will make sure i have the right adapter next time or better yet listen to my hubby!

FINALLY.................

FINALLY we got our new router! Andrew spent a couple hours trying to get it all set up it's kinda confusing because everything is in GERMAN, but he did it yeah! The funny thing is some of the German phone companies will try make money off Americans if they don't pay attention to their bills etc............ Tcom here in Baumholder said we would have to buy a new router which is 150 Euros and with how bad the exchange rate is right now that would've SUCKED! Anyways when we went to the main Tcom store In Idar Oberstein with the intent of purchasing a new one, come to find out we have a two year warranty. The best part it was they delivered in two days! Pretty crazy!! I will now be back to blogging ha ha

WHAT A STORM!

Early last week we had the biggest rain-hail-thunder-and lightning storm EVER, it was so bad that our router got ruined from the lightning, so we have been without internet for a little bit and our phone line has also been kinda crazy....... It was kinda nice to have a little rain since it's been EXTREMELY HOT and the HUMIDIDTY is BAD! Germany doesn't have any A/C in their houses so just imagine how hot it is, we have considered just sleeping outside ha ha. (I guess we are just spoiled in the States...........)

The parking lot literally took about 5 min. to get flooded it was CRAZY................. It was alot more flooded than this by the end of the storm.
