Trier Germany

We had to go to Trier the most beautiful place here in Germany! This is the Electoral Palace in Trier, it was built by the Romans in the 12th century. This building is one of my favorite building it's gorgeous, it's hard to see all the detail in the picture. Trier also has tons of wine Vineyards in the summer you can see them while driving on the autobahn. Me and my dadBehind the Electoral Palace there is a little pond on the left side where there's always lots of geese and birds everywhere, i think i have a picture of Andrew somewhere with all the birds pretty funny! My mom and i, lucky for my mom this is her second time in Trier she loves it too especially the kitchen store here, she found some cute cakes time plates! Germans have cake time with little plates and forks, they eat their cupcakes with the little plates and forks too! Beautiful views of Trier from the top of the

This is the Puerta Negra which was a Roman gate to Trier built by the Romans it's one of the things you want to see in Trier! My dad and i went to look around they had a little museum, and we purchased some tickets to go up to the top, there was lots of views from the top!! I love this cathedral it's also one of my favorites, all the cathedrals have a different look to them here in Europe! When we got back to Baumholder we picked up Andrew at the house and went out for some Spaghetti Eis icecream, my dad seriously loved this icecream, Well the guy in the middle of Andrew and i is the owners grandson and he was working every night we were there, The night Andrew wasn't with us he asked where's your husband?? My dad got the raspberry spaghetti Eis everytime and the night he got something different he asked your not getting the regular tonight. It was pretty funny:) We had a good time in Trier and even funner when we got back to Baumholder ha ha.

Bastogne Belgium

We also decided to head up to Bastogne Belgium where the Battle of the Bulge took place, which was amazing to see. My grandpa was in the war and was injured right on this battlefield which was humbling to see you feel so sorry for all of those soldiers who fell in the war! I have gained a whole new perspective on the war and on soldiers by living in Germany and learning so much about what really went on, the huge bloody battles and the hero's it created. The good people in Bastogne love Americans because we liberated their town and saved it from the German Army. We also couldn't leave Belgium without trying some of their chocolate which was amazing, we found a cute little chocolate shop while walking around so my parents got some to take home and bought Andrew and i a box. Thanks again you guys are the best! We love ya There were weak points on American tanks armor back then, and a German tank got behind this one and shot it with a 120 millimeter armor piercing round which basically blew up the engine and killed everyone inside which is really sad. The hole was pretty big as you can see! We had fun here it's a very cute Belgium city they had a fun little shopping square and a little museum with souvenirs of the battle. My dad also loved seeing all this stuff here in Bastogne, since he was in the army back in the day, I think it meant alot to him to see all this and to be where the battle took place. I'm glad my mom got to see some of where her dad was in Belgium during the war! Andrew and i havin fun seeing an American tank in Bastogne ha ha Dad and Mom having fun in Bastogne! Wahoo Utah:) Me Andrew and my dad climed to the top which had an awesome view we had fun walking around, even though it was FREEZING!! I have to say Andrew was a champ for coming with us his poor face was still a little swollen and his tooth was still bothering him, He was glad he came with us he LOVED it here in Bastogne along with the rest of us:) This is the Bastogne World War 2 memorial for the American soldiers. On the walls described in detail about the Battle of the Buldge. This was really fun to see you can see some of the states in this picture but it had every state all around it. It's crazy to think about what these soldiers did for all Americans back then and i'm still sooooo grateful for every soldiers sacrifice, they really are Heros! Bastogne is such a cute little city we all Loved it and it was worth the drive and the cold weather!

LeIgE BeLgIuM

We also went to Luttich (Leige) Belgium it's only about 2 hours from Germany it's so crazy how you can make it to so many different countries in such a short amount of tim. Andrew and i actually stayed in Leige when i first got to Germany, they had the biggest fest both of us have ever seen. Anyways we thought it would be fun to take my parents here so they could see the city a little it was still pretty cold but we all survived ha ha .

Mom and Andrew enjoying Luttich SmIlE DaD YoUr In BeLgIuM:) What a fun statue on the top of her head it's like a bowl which while your walking across the bridge you can try to throw some euro coins or American coins into the statue. I didn't make it, not even close! Andrew didn't make it either but he was pretty close! YEAH! My dad won and the funny thing is he used an American quarter:)

Luttich was fun it's so interesting to see the different countries even though they all have the European look to them it's still fun to see even though Belgium isn't as clean it's still fun and my parents had alot of fun they loved the castle and just seeing Belgium Andrew and i also had alot of fun:) I'm glad Andrew got to come with us too, his face was still swollen and hurting but he wanted to get out of the house which we were glad:)

CaStLe In BeLgIuM

We came across this castle in Belgium and we were actually trying to find the MontMedy castle here in Belgium Andrew and i went there last year and it's a way fun castle it's huge,there is little hotels, shops etc....... Anyways we couldn't find even though we were in the area so we know we were close, but hey luckily we found this awesome castle! So how would you like to live in a castle? There is people who still live in this one, they let you walk around outside but we heard they have some tour you can go on inside. That would be kinda fun to see what it looks like inside! Mom-Andrew and Dad I love ya babe:) Well even though it was raining and a little muddy it was well worth it, we still had sooooo much fun my parents LOVED the castle and we did too. We love you guys:)
