Christmas in France 2008

This picture was taken from our hotel room it was the most beautiful view, we stayed at the Hotel Du Theatre. Andrew and i decided to go to Metz France for Christmas this year, since we were away from family for the holidays we thought it would be fun to spend Christmas somewhere different than Germany this year! Although we had no clue how cold it would be in Metz we still had fun seeing all the sights, and finding a few Christmas festivals. We missed being with our families and hope you all had a fun Christmas. We love you and miss you:) We started off Christmas morning by opening some gifts from each other and from family, thanks again for the cards and gifts we appreciate it and love you all. After that we cleaned up and headed to Metz it was only about 2hours from Germany so it was PERFECT....... Santa even found Zoey! My friend and i found some Christmas bones for our dogs, this one is a rawhide bone shaped like a candy cane pretty funny....... Last year we spent Christmas with friends so this year we decided to just spent it together in Metz. We will be so excited when we get to finally spend a Christmas with family:) We were told there was a pool so got all excited to swim and little did we know it was outside and it's so COLD! So Andrew had to use the restroom and had to resort to this one in the middle of the city, there were no restrooms anywhere but in the resturaunt and they wouldn't him use it so they directed us to this. It's 2euro which i guess pays for the hand sanitizer ha ha i'm surprised they even had any! I hate public restrooms and this is 5o times worse. When we first drove into Metz we noticed a little carnival so we decided to check it out since it's Christmas Day and this might be the only thing going on in the city! Can you tell i'm freezing!? So before we left i couldn't find my gloves and i really needed them i think in every picture i have my hands in my pockets, i can't even explain how cold it was but hey that made it even more fun. ha ha France is a beautiful country but i have to say Germany is by far a cleaner country and smells alot better too!
